Based on laws and regulations such as the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and the Circular Economy Promotion Lawof the People's Republic of China, the Company has formulated and released the Environmental Protection Regulation to define environmental responsibilities at all levels and establish routine environmental management, achieving standardized environmental management.

    Environmental Management Organizational structure

GCL Technology monitors the implementation of environmental protection through the Safety and Environmental Protection Committee. As the highest management body, the Committee, under the leadership of the Co-Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for formulating the Group's environmental protection-related rules, regulations and work plans and monitoring the implementation of environmental protection to effectively improve work efficiency.

GCL Technology vigorously advances green and low-carbon operations, continuously improves environmental management, promotes the utilization of clean energy and resource recycling, and contributes to carbon emission reduction across the photovoltaic industry chain.

  • Total water consumption intensity: 123.32 (tonne/MW of wafers), a year-on-year decrease of 23%.
  • Comprehensive energy consumption intensity: 88.88 (MWh/MW of wafers), a year-on-year decrease of 12%.
  • GHG emission intensity: 39.82 (tCO2e/MW of wafers), a year-on-year decrease of 21%.
  • The Proportion of total alternative water sources used: 78.32%.
  • Total renewable energy consumption exceeding 2,741,143.13 MWh, representing a 90 times increase compared to 2023 levels.
  • Energy Audit

GCL Technology has consistently regarded energy efficiency improvement and full‑chain energy conservation and consumption reduction as the core drivers of sustainable development, and conducts annual energy audits across its main business scope, systematically advancing the internal and external audit mechanisms of its energy management system. The Group undertakes that its main business scope shall undergo one internal energy audit and one external audit conducted by an independent third‑party organization with nationally recognized qualifications each year, ensuring the continued compliance and effective operation of energy management.

In 2025, GCL Technology conducted 5 internal energy audits and underwent 5 external audits, achieving 100% coverage across its main business scope. The audit scope covered key areas including energy baseline and target performance management, energy usage, management of major energy‑consuming equipment, energy metering system management, and energy use reviews, comprehensively assessing the energy management status of each production base. The energy audits employed scientific sampling methods, combined with interviews, document reviews (including policy documents, operating records, ledgers, and reports), onsite observations, and verification, to systematically collect objective evidence and form comprehensive assessment conclusions.

For identified issues, the audit teams proposed targeted rectification recommendations, driving closed‑loop management and continuous improvement.

At the same time, the Group's main business scope organizes internal energy audits annually, with a focus on verifying energy management compliance and conformity with the ISO 50001 energy management system. For issues identified during audits, a closed‑loop management mechanism is established to ensure timely rectification and continuous optimization of management.

The 2025 audit results demonstrate that GCL Technology has established an energy management system in compliance with the requirements of the GB/T 23331‑2020 standard, clearly defined energy management responsibilities across all departments, and developed and refined relevant procedural documents and operational specifications.
