GCL Technology Holdings Limited (GCL TECH for short, former known as：GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited) was founded in Hong Kong in 2006, listed in November 2007 (stock code: 3800.HK), included in the Hang Seng Composite Index and the HSML 100 Index in 2010, and put on the Forbes Global 2000 List in May 2012. The company is based in Suzhou with branch offices and R&D centers in Hong Kong, Xuzhou, Leshan, Baotou and Ningxia.

With “Focus on green development, and keep improving the living environment” as its mission, GCL Technology is a globally leading developer and manufacturer of high-efficiency PV materials. It has a firm hold on the direction of technological development of high-efficiency PV materials, consistently maintaining its position as a trailblazer in the areas of polysilicon products.

Since being founded, GCL Technology has been market-oriented and professional, and has strong R&D power. The firstly developed modified Siemens process (GCL method) massive-scale polysilicon production process has won a China Patent Award. Its silane-based fluidized-bed-reactor (FBR) technology is protected with proprietary intellectual property rights. It also has won the first carbon footprint certificate in the field of photovoltaic raw materials in China and France, setting the lowest carbon footprint record of silicon materials at home and abroad.

On January 11, GCL TECH won “2021 Jinganggu Award”, Jinganggu “Best PR Team Award” and Jinganggu “Best IR Team Award” in “2022 Global Investment Trends Forum and the 6th Jinganggu Award Ceremony”.

2021

In May, the granular silicon of GCL TECH obtained the first carbon footprint certificate in the field of domestic photovoltaic raw materials, setting the lowest carbon footprint record of silicon materials at home and abroad.

In October, the granular silicon of GCL TECH obtained the world's first carbon footprint certificate issued by French Energy Agency.

In December, GCL TECH won theOutstanding Industrial Contribution Award of the 10th “GoldenWls” Award Ceremony of Navigation China.

2020

In April, the Preparation Method of Seed Silicon with High Degree of Sphericity and FBR-produced Granular Silicon (ZL201380041563.9) declared by Jiangsu Zhongneng, a subsidiary of GCL TECH won the gold award of the first Xuzhou Patent Project Award.

In August, GCL TECH’s FBR-produced granular silicon adopting black technology won the 2020 SNEC Terawatt Diamond Award.

In September, Golden Concord Group celebrated the 30th foundation anniversary.

In October, GCL TECH officially commenced the construction of 10,000-ton granular silicon project in Leshan, Sichuan.

2019

GCL TECH won “Asian Photovoltaic Industry Contribution Award” of Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA).

The project of “Development and Industrialization of Key Equipment and High-efficiency Sedimentation Technology of Silane-based FBR-produced Granular Silicon” of Jiangsu Zhongneng, a subsidiary of GCL TECH, won Science and Technology Second Prize of Jiangsu Province, the highest provincial science and technology award.

GCL TECH’s ingot monocrystalline product “G3” wafer won the Terawatt Diamond Award of the 2019 SNEC “Top 10 Highlight Products”.
